i never use any virus protection or malware protection besides the Defender.
    Oooh... that's very, very bad....
I don't even want to use Defender. I am just forced to use it because most 3rd party AVs are still not working flawlessly with Win 10 and causes more bad than good (system wise).

Never Use Any virus malware protection ever besides the installed Defender, you better believe it. And so far the only malware problem i had was because i disabled add- block Plus in Google Chrome by mistake and got infected, and solution; re-installed OPS,takes less time than look for the virus problem, besides any free virus and Malware protection ain't worth nothing ,you get better protection if you pay a premium Virus&Malware software, but that's against my rules,Never pay for any software,Ever;and you know why i talk this way! well because i have Linux option and a mighty fine one and all free software, and you kow what, there's not a thing i can't do in Linux OPS that i do in Win OPS, besides no protection needed no virus no malware ,a matter fact my Main PC an Intel I5 has UBUNTU 14,04 installed and will not switch for any other OPS.

I have nothing against UAC but I also personally disable it. Why? I also don't like the constant pop-up everytime I click something. If I click it, that means it's intentional. I keep an updated image backup. So if I screw up because UAC did not prevent any changes I accidentally made, I can go back immediately to previous state like nothing happened. Virus? There's a frontliner on any PC to deal with that. But then again, image restoration can deal with it if something goes wrong.
Bottomline, I see nothing wrong disabling it since I am the only user on this PC and I have a complete trust on what I am doing and I always have Plan A and Plan B in case of screw ups.
Well, you really should learn to use it. It will get progressively harder and harder to use Windows without UAC, and eventually it will be impossible. The single WORST thing you can do is turn UAC on and off for various purposes, because doing so disables and enables virtualization. So what can happen is files can get written to non-virtualized areas when not in UAC mode, and then when in UAC mode they act totally differently. You should either be in UAC 100% of the time or 0% of the time.

If you're going to always have it off, then you might as well go back to Windows 7, because this will NOT get any easier as more and more of the OS becomes Universalized. Universal apps can't work without UAC, it's part of the infrastructure, and it just won't function without it.

If we have a choice to keep 7 (with support) I will stay with 7. I will let my 7 die with the PC. :)
I am in UAC 0% of the time.

Well, you can keep 7 forever, but support will eventually die. However, by that time you probably won't be able to find any more apps to run on it.

That's an excellent idea. I would support this. And we do have options - many options. We don't have to eat everything they give us. I already do half of my computing with Mint Mate. There are just a few Windows programs for which there is no Linux equivalent.

I would suggest this too,and i wonder why MS doesn't take the initiative to do this on their own! maybe MS don't want to copy Linux Power app, but Linux has no problem to copy Win stuff if that's good for the users, but no; MS is too arrogant to follow Linux steps,

    +1
I don't use any apps on desktop, too. I may be using some of them unknowingly because it's on start menu but I don't download any apps.
I only use apps on my Windows Phone because that's what smartphones and tablets are all about.
