@BunnyJ a cheaper solution than constantly buying DVD's would be to buy a 6 or 8 GB USB thumb drive ($5 or less) and create a Create a Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10 which is reusable for each new build and has a faster install time than DVD's especially if both the computer and USB thumb drive support USB 3.0.

    Windows 10 Fast Ring

Just in time! Win10 version 61 was really broken on my SSD so I took out my backup SSD and did a fresh install of 61. It immediately updated to 74! So I booted my old SSD with 61 on it and it also updated to 10074, FIXING all of my issues with 61. Just have to (once again deal with the Windows.old folder.
Some nice changes. Taskbar once again can be set to change colors, Cortana actually listens to me now, and other goodies to be found I am sure.

BTW, YES an install using a USB3.0 stick is way faster than a DVD or even a USB 2.0 stick.

Just trying to download 10074. It gets stuck each time at 1%. I made already 4 retries. Will try again tomorrow. I never had that problem before. What is strange is that the error code is not always the same.

I presume you've tried rebooting, I had the same problem with the last update, rebooted started the update again and it worked straight away.

I am avid Sysprep and image customization fan. Up to Build 9860 Sysprep worked as it has worked since Vista, you could do amazing things with your answer file before capturing the install image. In Build 9879 Sysprep was really buggy, I could only Sysprep Enterprise images, no way to sysprep Pro, and even the Enterprise needed quite a tricks before you could run Sysprep without "fatal errors".

The first 10K build, the 10041 brought Sysprep back, works like a charm, but one of the key elements, a component called CopyProfile does not work and has not been working since. If CopyProfile is set to be TRUE meaning the desktop and theme modifications done in Audit Mode will be copied to Windows Default User Profile, the Sysprep itself does not fail but the first OOBE boot after that ends up in an endless reboot loop, installation cannot be finalized.

For me personally this is a big issue and I just hope that the next build would solve this issue.
    Hi Kari,

I also am an avid image builder! I noticed that certainly with buikd 10074 i am no longer able to us it, even with when all conditions are met:

No internet connectivity (at first installation)
    No CopyProfile
    etc...

I even did it without using an autoanswer (xml) file, so just:
    > sysprep /generalize /oobe /shutdown

what is a well known error message:

    System Registration 3.14
A fatal error occurred while trying to sysprep the machine

    End of story....!

This is a real show stopper for me, and there's little information about this is problem on Windows 10 (latest builds 9926 and up)

    Damn!
