Is Windows Insider Still Free?

Thanks to Kari & NavyLCDR for a clear summary of conditions for running Tech Preview.
Further, this seems to imply that I could 'downgrade' from Win10 Tech Preview, to 'regular' windows, since my TP is based on an authorized W10 build 10586.
Also, doing it before July 29, 2016, I would go to build 10586, and afterwards to "Anniversary Update" (build 1436x?).
Is there any window that closes after July 2016? It would be nice to continue to use Tech.Prev. into the future (of course, accepting the risk with using "beta" software).

If you have a fully activated Windows 10 now it will.

Microsoft is the only company where you basically have to pay to test insider builds or betas in one way or another. Microsoft is hardly the only company to offer betas only to they're paying customers. Many companies do that. Adobe, for instance only offers betas to existing customers (you have to be invited, they just don't give them to everyone).

agree about some products - have more pages on "legalese" and EU "conformity" whatever that is -- even if you buy the product OUTSIDE the EU (Iceland not an EU member) than an old fashioned type phone book for a big city like Los Angeles etc..

I had to laugh though as I got with a mains powered USB HDD - manual said in about 97 different languages --"This product should not be used in Water" !!!!!!. - Wonder how many trees were cut down to produce all the paper for that piece of B/S.
