Not receiving insider builds on my Windows 10 Pro laptop

Hi. I am currently running windows 10 Pro version 1511 OS build 10586.164. Several days ago I decided to turn on insider builds fast lane. On the update screen, advanced options it does show "you are all set to receive preview builds". So far I haven't received any preview builds. I did receive several windows 10 updates on March 23 however. Is there something I am missing or can it take over a week for the process to start?

In Windows 10 Pro, there is an option to "defer" upgrade.
It is at Advanced options page.
Any chance it is enabled ?

No, one week is too long. Last time, out of experiment, I switched from Win 10 Home RTM to Insider preview.
Took me less than one day to receive the preview build.

I have no answer for you.
    Sorry.

try this method, move to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download, delete all file in folder Download and try check update. Or using ISO to upgrade :)

Thanks. I followed your instructions, and immediately after deletion, when I checked windows update it had started to download insider preview 14295.

I wish I could say the same but it doesn't work for me. I have the Surface Pro 4. I have been trying to download the Insider Previews for over a week now with no luck. Everything in settings is correct. I deleted all files in the "download" directory but I still can't get the Insider Previews.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks!

    I have Windows 10 Home on a 2n1 laptop I just purchased (Dell Inspiron 11 3000 series - added RAM to 8G)
I set it up to be in Insider Fast Lane.
It is on Build 10586.164 now
I have tried every thing here and still no Update shows up for Insider
    Any other ideas?
PS I am logged onto my Microsoft account

    Thanks Charlie

Microsoft has recently release Insider \preview build 14295 ISO file.
Use this link to download it
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...mkD9g%29%28%29

*** make sure you select the same language and bit version your computer is now running ***

After iso is downloaded, right click at it > click Mount > click Setup.exe.
    Installation will begin.
    No product key is required.
    Activation will be automatic.

After successful install and activation, you can, if you want to, burn the iso file to a bootable DVD or USB for clean install or future reinstall.

The current Insider Preview build is 14316.
If you set your newly installed 14295 to Fast ring, soon you will get an update to 14316.

OK I have Version 1511 (OS Build 14295.100) On now
    The Eval Copy says Build14295.rs1_release.160318-1628
So it may take up to a Day to "see" 14316?
It does not see any updates ATM
