Between 10240 and 10586 the only thing the slow ring got was 10586 2 days before it went to everyone. That is zero insider builds.

"Slow Ring" will hopefully move from "None" not "Some" like it was during the preview program.

"Fast Ring" will hopefully start going faster again. They did for 2 builds but stopped again.

I don't think you need worry. Put it on slow and downgrade when available.
I'm sorry, did you say downgrade?

    Yes of course.

If you are on "Slow ring" and want to change to "Release preview" when it is available (which it isn't) then you are downgrading the speed by which you upgrade from "Slow" to "Release"

    Wait a minute.
It is a total confusion to me.
You guys kept talking about 10240 and 10586, and a chart about Current Branch
What do they have to do with Fast or Slow rings ?

Yes, I have read this part .........................
Builds on the Release Preview ring are based on the Current Branch, that is (for now) Build 10586.

How is my Insider build (14257) based on the Current Branch build (10586) ?

My RTM version is the current one............... 10586.104
My Insider Preview build is also the current one............ 14257.

Is this 3rd ring for Insider Preview ?
    If yes, where ?

Adding................. English is my 3rd language. Understanding the meaning does not come automatic and natural for me.
I am unable to find the correlation between Current Branch build and Insider Preview build.

And English is my only language!

I thought the November Update (Build 10586) was an RTM, not a Preview!

Yes, it-s supposed to be third and slowest ring for Insiders only. What I gather is that it will be available short time before release to "normal" users.

Actually, now that I think about it, we Insiders did get the "third ring" with Build 10586. Microsoft just hadn't thunk up that this would be the third ring. :)

I'll just keep clicking "Check for Updates" and see what happens! Lord of the Rings was never a favorite of mine.

I've read every book J.R.R. Tolkien ever wrote. And watched the movies, although they're never as good as the book.

I can't remember one movie that was better than the book it was made from. I loved reading Jules Verne for instance but movies are badly butchered except 20.000 Leagues under the sea which was close but not exact.

Seems like everything that comes from MS is subject to different interpretations and speculations. Found another one:
