Don't forget that some monitors also come with a driver. You may want to check Device Manager and check display adapters if they are being recognized properly. I had that issue with my 8.1 htpc with 2 displays. It recognizes my TV but not the Philips LED monitor.

Did you do the upgrade install, or clean install?
the upgrade, but I have now bagged it and went back to build 9879, I need my second monitor.
That's a weird problem because I never had issues running 4 monitors on any build including this 9926.
It could be my the difference in our respective computer's drivers. This is just a cheap HP 2000 laptop, I don't do any high end graphics on it but I do like to watch videos on one screen while I browse on another.

I got you, but as I said it works fine with Build 9879 so I can wait. The additional monitor I bought for $10 at a thrift shop so I don't have any drivers for it.

can anyone help me on this one? the old build I could extend my monitor but can't get it to detect my additional monitor on this, any advice?

Had the same issue, ended up reverting to 9879. Under device manager, my graphics adapter was listed with an error code 43... In my case, AMD Radeon HD 7800M... Works fine under 9879. I even did a complete fresh install in hopes that that would fix it. Tried an older driver, still code 43. No go. Thankfully I had my image to revert to. Wondering if it has to do with directx v12... Anyway, I would think that an update from AMD is necessary, hopefully we will see it soon.

I have seen some folks complaining about AMD drivers on the latest build. The 9872 build had problems with many Display drivers, so perhaps something about yours are still causing problems.

In Device Manager, what drivers are you showing for the Display Adapter?

On my laptop that has AMD/AMD dual graphics I kept getting a "No AMD graphics driver installed or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install the correct AMD driver appropriate for your graphics hardware" popup. That was with the driver Windows 10 installed in the background shortly after the first boot up. I had no external monitor connected. I've since ditched 10 on that PC and gone back to Windows 8.1.

On mine I have 2 display adapters installed including the on-board card. That's how I run 4 monitors.
    My add-on card is not high-end. It's a HIS Radeon HD 5450.

Drivers were automatically installed when I first run the updates after clean installation.

It didn't detect it at all. I have an amd radeon hd 6310 graphics card. Now that I have reverted to the previous build I have no problems.

I've seen that before. On my desktop PC, my onboard VIA sound is not detected at all. Not even as an unknown device. If Windows doesn't see it, it won't look for drivers for it. It doesn't know its there. I have to install the drivers manually to get it to be detected and work.

Solved the driver problem. At least in the case of the amd hd7800m code 43 error. I disabled uefi in the bios. Installed 9926 from scratch. Fixed! Possibly upgrade then disabling would have worked but I wanted a clean install. Also fixed a couple of other driver problems I was having.
