So far this new build is looking good! I tried my capture card and no blue screen. Except for the fonts not set correctly I just printed in Pale Moon. :) Now to have a look around.

(Edit): It must have been the page I printed from. I just printed a page from another site and it printed fine. :)

It's up on MSDN too, just downloaded the 64 bit ISO, and the 64 bit Enterprise ISO. That's about as far as I've gotten so far. Time to make up a bootable thumb drive.

Home in File Explorer is now called Quick access.

PC settings and zPC settings have been merged as an app named Settings.

Windows Update no longer in Control Panel. It's in Settings now.

Just installed as an upgrade from W8.1 on my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro. Install was smooth and seemed a bit quicker than previous installs I had done on somewhat lesser hardware. This one is an i7/8Gb/256Gb configuration.

Even though the Y2P used to detect the 'modes', now it doesn't. IOW, when I fold the keyboard back it doesn't shift to tablet mode. But you can toggle that manually. That said, I don't see an advantage to having it switch to tablet mode. Frankly I didn't really like tablet mode as it is kind of a half-step between desktop and 'modern'.

Overall it works fine and a few applications and apps I ran all seem just fine.

Noted that it got an update immediately after the 1st new boot. No clue what the update was but it didn't break anything, which is always good!! :)

How to enable "Hey Cortana" in Windows 10

Microsoft is now letting everyone play with Cortana on the desktop and if you are trying to use the new 'Hey Cortana' feature and it is not working, we can help you out. This feature is turned off by default and you need to enable it so you can begin talking to the personal digital assistant.
To enable 'Hey Cortana', open Cortana and click the hamburger button in the top left of the window and go to settings. At the bottom of the window, you will see the 'Hey Cortana' setting that you need to enable.
After you enable this feature, you can begin to freely talk to Cortana but here are a couple tips to help you out.
Once you say "Hey Cortana" you need to say your question or statement right after you say "Hey Cortana", do not wait for the app to open. If you wait too long, Cortana stays open and does not respond to the next words you say unless you say "Hey Cortana" again.

I just finished the download, 3 hours and 30 minutes on my speedy internet connection. But, it's downloaded onto a USB, but not installed yet. Just wanting to see some reports. The other builds I had trouble with. I am clean installing it with Windows 7 (independent). I ran it in a VM but like the clean install better. But every time I went from 10 back to 7, it had to run disk check on every drive in my machine. I hope the new build will be better able to get along with 7. I also hope I can install the Nvidia graphics driver. I hosed 3 installations trying to install it. Just looking for some feedback before I install it. That will either be tonight, if I want to sit up all night, or tomorrow. Most likely tomorrow.
