This whole testing process has grown quite wearisome, in my opinion!
I'm willing to test stuff that works, but I'm not gonna fool around with stuff that doesn't!

    Hi there

I think people are quite tolerant of accepting defects in a "Test" or "Insider" type of release -- no problem there -- but surely something as basic as the copy progress indicator which has been around ever since the first releases of windows back over 30 years ago (or more) should still work in any new release. I'd forgive this error if say there was a new file system being tested or some type of multi-volume "compound" directory system - but on basic file explorer that should still work -- no excuse for that error IMO.

I'm not using the insider release as my standard Windows OS -- but obviously for meaningful testing I expect it to function as close as possible to the "Normal" OS -- not show defects in BASIC FUNCTIONALITY. !!!!

    Cheers

I totally agree.. that's a core function and it should always work test version or not. Just really bad QA on this build, IMO.

They're pushing stuff out too fast, things are getting missed.

With this defect acknowledged out the gate on release of the build, it makes me curious whether there's something afoot at a fundamental level in that interface they couldn't quite finish for this build and it's in limbo until the next or a subsequent build.

    Something like this?

We’re also working on some structural improvements to OneCore, which is the shared core of Windows across devices. Essentially, OneCore is the heart of Windows,

Well, I got this tip from @Cliff S
    It's a copy/paste tool that's a work around for this issue.
TeraCopy for Microsoft Windows - Code Sector
