only issue I occasionally see is store apps don't have an icon showing in the taskbar, I just get a blank square with nothing in it
doesn't affect the running of them, just visual
Just wondering, how are you running it and how did you perform the setup??

Mine is a clean install from an ISO to a separate partition on my SSD.
It seems to run very clean when I have it set up that way. I stopped using a VM after about 10 minutes and went to the dual boot option.

    Jeff
Running via VM, I only have this one machine so don't want to risk doing something to totally mess it up (I have backups of stuff so not a major issue, just don't want to get at the stage of needing to restore)

For updates I am just using the in place upgrade, I want to keep doing this to see if it eventually breaks by doing this for each release, when/if it does then I will clean install 10

Its only a visual issue (not everytime though) and dosn't affect the running of the apps so its something I can live with

More a 'pet-peeve' than an observation...

This is an almost corporate wide pet peeve of mine:

Why do corporations stoop to juvenile tactics online, (and elsewhere)? Is it to win favor with the masses?
    Gmail example:

    build 9879-000020.png

Now MS gets on the bandwagon:

    build 9879-000017.png

    Immature and unprofessional IMO!

I have use Feedback and mentioned about 3 times that the ability to select colors and font size is critical to those of us that have problems seeing.
Personally I do like to set my system to be easy on my eyes.

If others think my idea sounds good please use Feedback and let Microsoft know your needs.

Disk cleanup taking forever to launch

Is it me or is the disk cleanup tool taking forever to launch?

After clicking the Start button and typing "disk cleanup" I got "Free up disk space by deleting unnecessary files". Clicking that didn't appear to do anything and about 90 seconds later the Disk Cleanup tool finally popped up. Clicked on clean up system files as I'd just installed 10 (in VM or my laptop) and it took about another 2 minutes

Anyone else notice this? Windows 10, build 9879

    Thanks.

Yeah, that and I doubled the size of my 'pagefile' cuz my WTP isn't on my SSD but I've got the room for it on the HDD.

I have eye problems as well, it why I chose windows 7 over windows 8/8.1.

Does any know if Microsoft has put up the iso image for build 9879 here Download Windows Technical Preview ISO - Microsoft Windows ? There are suppose to do that when the slow ring is released.

I never could figure out why Microsoft wants people to update the preview using the update and recovery. This makes me think they are going subscription based. Instead of a preview build it will be an update os that you pay for each year. I hope I am wrong.

    @groze
I haven't seen the ISO download yet, it was stated that it would take a while. I would rather work with an ISO than the way this update has been working. I feel that I have more control over what I want to do and what I want the results to be.
