Unable to Eject any USB Flash/HDD

    Hi guys
I'm on 10565 and this has happened on previous versions, I was trying to use Rufus but it seems as though the system locks the drive so I'm unable to use Rufus or remove the drive though for flash drives it's possible to eject from My Computer. I tried 3rd party software but they also say the system locks it.

I don't want to upgrade yet(perhaps till Redstone) because I see only minor concerns are being addressed. And 10565 has been the most stable for me. But this ejecting problem is making me go crazy, for HDDs after I'm done I have to switch off the PC to remove it. Microsoft needs to address the main bugs affecting performance and usability before 'revamping apps and appearance'. If I wasn't a person that loves testing software and fiddling around with stuff, I'd be extremely annoyed if I bought Windows 10

EDIT. I found a way to use Rufus, first start up Rufus, (the flash drove will be chosen automatically but just look at the drive letter to make sure the right one is selected), then quickly choose your ISO and click start, that way Rufus will lock the drive before Windows has a chance.

Have you tried right clicking the device in Windows Explorer and selecting eject?

Malim, I believe that the just released TH2 Build 10586 has fixed this problem.

Yes, I think it has. There's a thread devoted to the problem. Here's the good news: This Device is Currently in Use - USB Jump Drive
