You could change it, or leave it, as you wish - it is only some text - as HG says I wouldn't worry about it :)

Now you mention it mine used to say "Windows User" during some earlier insider builds but I've clean installed so it has got overwritten with my name at some point.

Thank you for all your help. I decided to change it and see what happens, it's just text and can be easily replaced, it has nothing to do with ownership or activation, thanks for the link :)

weird. mine is setup with my 9@Hotmail.com acct ,and it shows it registered to defaultuser0, ??

hmm. my 10565 is registered only by my last name? im ofc signed with the insider email too. weird stuff, cause I havent put my last name only anywhere, just on the correct spot and other information is filled correctly too :P

Now this is interesting indeed. The only place my last name would be registered in my MS account is my Bank card. Do you have one registered in your MS account? How about the name of your account? I only used the first letter of my last name. That was years ago.

my logged with my xxxxxxx@hotmail.com which is insider account. name is Firstname Lastname shown on the login screen. this is "clean install" since hmm 10240 iirc and updated to here. havent changed anything.

ive ran few more computers with the insider too and with the same login info tho, dunno if that matters but its weird indeed
