Build 10547 Can't Auto Hide the Task-Bar On Main Monitor

Since the last update, I cannot auto hide the task bar on my main monitor.
I am running dual monitors and the secondary monitor hides it perfectly.

Does anyone have any idea why and what can be done to auto hide the task bar again.

It is covering up the bottom lines of everything that I open on the main screen.

I have had that on that build too. Going to settings, disable and re-enable fixes it. Kind of a pain.

Well I tried that several times, right clicked on the search windows box, choose properties and then un-clicked the Auto-Hide Task Bar box, clicked on Apply, and then OK.

Then I did the same steps again, but this time I clicked the Auto-Hide Task Bar to select it, clicked on Apply and then OK.
Same results, the task bar went down and them back up, same condition would not stay hidden.

Tried that twice, same results both times. Then I got thinking! How about disabling the hide task bar choice and then shut down and restart windows 10. So I tried it and guess what, it worked perfectly. I can now go in and choose to hide or un-hide and it works perfectly, as expected, every time.

So Dude, a big thanks for the starting point, between the two of us I now have it working.

Hope this works for others as well.
    All the best,
    George

After just a few hours the task bar on my main monitor will not hide again!
Guess I am still looking for the correct answer.
    Anyone have any other ideas?

    Another possible solution.
Open Task Manager and restart Windows Explorer

Auto Hide now works! Lets see how long this solution lasts!

Sorry if this is "necroing" @ only 2 weeks, but I'm having the same issue and no, it doesn't work. It works up until the point that you restart your computer, but upon booting back up...broken!

    Same Here

I had to do it after any restart as well, but it was at least a temporary fix. I did not do a lot of restarts, so was not a major problem. When the next update, and I don't remember what the version number was came out, the problem disappeared.

I am now running version 10565, and I know the problem first showed up with version 10547, so a lot of changes since then.

Aye, I had just installed that update as I responded yesterday but hadn't restarted. Just got done updating and doesn't appear to be an issue any longer. Let's hope it stays fixed. :)

EDIT: Right as I posted this, started back up. YAY!

    @GeorgeRace @kayanite

This happens to from time to time. I auto hide mine at left of screen, not that it should matter. A few build upgrades a while back it stuck open for a few days, then corrected. Things like fixing OneDrive a few times it stuck open. Office repair one time too. A reboot corrected the last two. I think it is tied to the system tray somehow. A "livened" icon or it's program perhaps? The only two things Office and OneDrive have in common is that each have a tray icon. Do either of you two have a program that installs a tray icon? Anything running that has a tray icon?

    Just a thought.

Any reason why you won't move on to build 10565 ?

click the Grab the ISO here link to download.

Maybe the newer build will fix that ?

The most current build is now 10576, but you will need to get it through Windows Update, Fast ring.
