Did you make a dvd or usb install media of your Windows 10 upgrade? If so a repair install or inplace upgrade with that would take you back to 10240.

I've been caught in that loop before, and in spite of much effort, never found out how to fix it. I ended up doing a clean install and starting over.

So if you have the a install usb of windows 10 build 10240 then you could try a inplace upgrade which will save your apps and settings. Have a look at this tutorial and see what you think. Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade
