    Sixties flashback with 10547

Since I updated, it seems my video playbacks on-line--i.e. IMDB, MLB-TV etc. look like a psychedelic Jimi Hendrix poster
from the 60s, when I use MS Edge.
I've checked for updates on flash and all seems to be up to date. If I use another browser like Google Chrome or Firefox...all is fine.
I am pulling my hair out and I only have as much as Tony Soprano to begin with. Can anyone help, I really would like to keep "EDGE" as my default browser.

Well to simply give you an answer Edge still isn't ready to be a default anything to be open with you! First you can only import IE Favorites from IE naturally which then is made into the default browser without any options available for editing once you see them imported. You have to stretch the Edge window out across two display screen wide enough to organize which book marks are seen at the left as well as in what order if you have any preference. You can't simply drag them around as you would in IE or any other browser which does include Chrome, FF, Waterfox the 64bit variant of FF, Opera, etc..

The practical advice anyone can give you at this time is simply use Edge as a secondary browser as MS is only now introducing it as the replacement for IE but not quite finished! This is why the "Feedback" option is available in 10 presently! Give them an earful on the problems you are having with it!

Here I simply ended up pinning IE to the Start as well as taskbar along with another browser still keeping the Edge icon pinned on the task bar there and calling it a day when seeing for myself it was going to take some time before it could ever replace IE entirely!

Well it could very well because it is the 10547 developer build and not the generally available 10240 most people are still running. There may be an urk in some patch they came up with and applied there getting in the way that needs to be addressed. I would simply submit the feedback for your find there and run with another browser option until the next build likely sees it fixed.

I think that's about all anyone can do for the time being. It took several versions of IE to finally get that one fixed having been a large security hole for XP in the past! Presently running with the 10240 release here on a couple of desktops plus a laptop 10 feels a bit like the 7 RC plus a little.

For Edge however this is kind of new territory being entered at this time and it will likely take a bit to see it finally where you can consider it a reliable browser. So far the problem seen here is more or less with importing and no options for adding or removing things individually as well as rearranging either IE Favorites or bookmarks that were first imported to IE and then to Edge.

The MLB-TV shortcut link on my desktop is the same link I used to access the video streaming I used in the previous build. Nothing has changed except the way the feed video looks. I figured this pic might make sense of my previous garbled explanation.

I would say you have scramble-a-tron there! I tend to doubt that anything like Flash Player if not Silverlight is even ready for 10 let alone Edge being a new platform for a web browser. It's set as the default by MS to "insure" people are going to have to try it out when upgrading to 10 but not actually ready for what people will be expecting.

This is why in one post I had commented that Edge was still very much in it's own infancy and has a lot of growing to do. You could almost liken it to how 8 brought in Metro while stripping the Start menu by how MS is thrusting things at you without them even being readied for general use. The general public is now the beta testers. This is why I mentioned giving them a good earful with the Windows Feedback option since this is what MS is waiting for.
