No apology needed, Lee. Understandable with what you've been through. Just keep on keeping on.

You may want to run these as I had to run yesterday after my system started to fall apart. Check the component store for any corruption. Repair if necessary. DISM - Repair Windows 10 Image - Windows 10 Forums

Back to original issue -- has anyone figure out how to fix the "right click" not working? without having to REPAIR or Uninstall/Reinstall?

You have to turn off desktop icons to have this issue

This issue only concerns people who turn off desktop icons or had the icons turned off prior to updating to 10547.
If you right click on your desktop, choose view and uncheck "show Desktop Icons" you will lose the ability to bring up the right click context menu. Laptop, desktop does not matter. If this happens to you use Shift & F10 to bring up context menu. You may need to do "Ctrl & Shift & F10" depending on your keyboard.

    Thanks for that, mlonabaugh.

Don't see the correlation, but ok. Wonder if it's a bug or what.

    Welcome to the forum, BTW.

. . .OK gang. . .Did a complete clean install, and now no longer have the right click program. Thought I could go without until the next build, albeit it was driving me crazy (short trip), thus the clean install. . .

Hello Hippsie! Thanks for the welcome aboard.
I do not understand the correlation but I hope they fix it quickly. I have 5 PC's with this build installed and I turn the desktop icons off and on constantly. I am really happy I found the "Shift F10" fix or I would have been screwed
    Have a great day!
