Yes, I confirm that Shift+F10 is the new right-click on the desktop.

    Why?

Hang on, even Shift+F10 is not working now!!??

There are terrible problems with what has focus (what is, or should be, in the foreground, what responds to mouse. keyboard etc., in Windows 10, all versions since 10240 anyway.

it was likely always there ,open it and you can go to view and turn show desktop back on ,maybe that what I had to do ,but I turned mine off ,not the latest version update

If I right-click on the desktop, under View is an item 'Show desktop items'. I am not going to uncheck it...

So far, Windows 10 is turning out to be as unready as Windows NT 3.10 in 1994, and I remember the Microsoft Evangelists' embarrassment at trade fairs as MS technicians in suits spent 20 minutes of their 45 minute presentation slots sweatily re- and re-booting their NT Compaq machines with unheard-of 32MB RAM installed. Meanwhile in the next tent, unruffled IBM guys in blue golf shirts ran OS/2 2.1 multitasking with ease on 4 MB RAM on unsophisticated IBM desktops.
