You have to delete that DWORD and not just change it. Then restart your machine.

How to disable Telemetry and Data Collection in Windows 10
    Hello Gary,

I'm trying to disable the two services as instructed on the linked site but first, the Diagnostics Tracking Service was already "Disabled" but I cannot find the second one (dmwappushsvc): all the services in my Windows are in French and I cannot find the equivalent in French. I googled the name and cannot find anything in French. Can you tell me what the "dmwap" or "svc" stand for?

Update: I changed French Windows for English Windows and went back to the Windows Services. The "dmwappushsvc" does not exist.

    I'm stuck there.

    Thank you!

    Hi there

    This worked for me

Switch on Computer and ensure you have the latest updates (of whatever insider release you are running),

Now simply leave it on for 24 - 48 hrs connected to the Internet (disable hibernate / sleep etc).

You should find that you'll get the latest release (10532) as an update.

    Cheers

    Great! :)
Have you tried running the system file checker to see if it can find/fix any problems?

If it comes back and says "No integrity violations found", then:

    1. make sure your system is activated
    Settings>Update & Security>Activation

    2. make sure all your data is backed up and you have any keycodes handy that you need for software you have installed

    3. Back up your drivers to another drive (Driver Magician Lite - only back up the ones in RED)

    4. Burn the ISO to disk or USB drive, and clean install Windows 10. If it asks for a keycode, select "skip". If there is no "skip" available, it is because you have downloaded the wrong architecture (x86/x64) or version (home/pro).

As long as the system is already activated, you can clean install Windows 10 as many times as you like/need. You said you have upgraded from W8.1, so it should be activated, but we need to be sure before you do a clean install.

You may need to install your graphics drivers after clean installing. That's why I have you back them up.

Once you are up and running and signed in with your Microsoft Insider email+password, go back and select to receive Insider Builds.

    Thank you!

It is the 3rd one down from The Diagnostic Tracking one and right above DNS Client.

Thanks for your suggestion Jimbo but I never shut down my computer but I still don't have any new updates.

    Hello Simrick

I ran SFC / scannow (I did not do the file checker because I didn't know which file to put). It did find some corrupted files but could not fix them all. It saved a log file (which is too large to download here).

Actually it's the Upload size that blocks large files. Since it's a text file did you try compressing it? Doing so usually makes it a small file and should be able to Upload it, most of us viewers can Download then decompress the .zip file.

Uh oh! That's not your log file, it's mine! :) Seriously, when I clicked on CBS.zip, it gave me "This PC>Toshiba>Documents>Themes"

Toshiba is my external hard drive, Documents is a folder on Toshiba and Themes is a folder inside Documents, all of which are on my computer! On top of that, within the Themes folder are some themes I haven't shared here.

Don't ask me how this happened, because I haven't a clue! I'm going back to see if I can figure out what happened, but in the meantime, you might want to Edit your post and delete the attachment for now. :)

Whoops! Never mind Celine! That's where Windows decided CBS.zip should be saved to. Sometimes I can be soooooooooo dense!

    Don't delete it!
