Hi, I recall having a similar problem- long ago when I wanted to download an early Win 11 release.. but can't remember the trick at that time.

    Have you done this?
Stop getting Windows Insider Dev Channel builds

So you did it via gpedit. Thank you for posting that. Do you remember which spot in the editor?
I ask because the one here doesn't work as shown: Enable or Disable Insider Build Settings in Windows 10 | Tutorials (tenforums.com)

    - set group policies so as NOT to accept preview updates
I think that's the one- and I still use it so I don't get preview updates.

If you can't find it, get a copy of Policy Plus (free) which has a find feature.

Tried that, can't read the smaller font it uses and there appears no way to magnify it without taking me forever to use Magnifier then get out of that.
It's an ongoing P.I.A. for me so I'll just live with that line as it wont be long until I give in and upgrade everything to Win 11.
    Thanks again.

I hadn't noticed. there was a 2nd mention of GPEdit for Business. That worked!
Windows continues to confound me as I never ever registered myself as a business!
