    Activation

Just downloaded 10532 and all went well. It shows that it is activated but has an expiration date of 07-15-2016. When I run slmgr /xpr it shows it is activated permanently on this machine. Are they referring to the original RTM as being permanent?

The Permanently activated notice is not correct - but the evaluation expiration date is.

The RTM that was "upgraded" to the latest insider version is no more. I do not worry - most likely during the next 12 months there will be another version that will not be time-limited, - another RTM or gold version - that will not time out, while successive insider evaluations will be released for evaluation..

    Never
Is this a GWX machine that was upgraded from a 7/8.1 to a 10 RTM. Or is it a insider build that has not been upgraded and activated?

That's interesting. I am trying to get insider build on my rtm that was a 7 upgrade to see what it slmgr /xpr reports. :)
