@jonnyhillow Have you even tried WIn10 or are your impressions just from reading blogs/articles?? ... From my testing so far Win10 is a fine OS and with more development will be better than Win7.
I would not consider you to be a religious person, to put so much faith into 10. 10 is fine as you said, it runs very well, but it will never be better than 7. XP and 7 are still legends in stability and performance, only lack of the driver support slowly puts them out of the picture. 8.1.1 almost made it to the hall of fame, but MS screwed up ignoring users. 10 is just heavy, have problems with software/drivers, worse than 7/8. Maybe 11 or 12 will be "it", but not 10. 10 is more like Vista, too many new features, which need to be polished over time and I doubt, that DX12 will save it in time. Service Packs might help, but by the time, 11 will be out.

I'm not going by faith.. I'm going by the testing and use of WIn10 so far, it's extreamly stable for a TP and it works just as fine as WIn7.. IMO.

Win10 is going to be a winner.. and just wait,, more things to come.

Windows 10 is still a technical preview so it's going to have problems. Windows 10 will probably have to go RTM before some of the problems with software and drivers get fixed.

RTM release is when the vendors will be updating their drivers. Drivers are more on the vendors then MS. But I haven't had any issues with drivers in Windows 10. The driver is was a bigger issue back with XP when people were moving from 32 to 64 bit. Now the majority of people are 64 bit drivers work fine in the the newer 64 bit OS's Vista, 7, 8/8.1 and Windows 10. My Camera even works in Windows 10 and those always seem like the hardest drivers to work in a new OS.

He is. . .I am using it as the main OS on two computers, One is a six year old Dell i5, and it is running 9926 without a hitch as of yet, and the other is a new Dell laptop that I upgraded from Win 8.1 to Win 10 TP 9926. Now I am no longer in the high end game so they seem to be working just fine for what I use them for. . .photo editing, and music editing. . .:)

USB Attached SCSI doesn't work for me and those are MS drivers.
