I would want to see some new things to play with but the only thing I see coming is Spartan and that's not going to come in the next build.. well whenever the next build does come.

Right now I'm just living with the latest build and it's working fine for me. When the next build comes out is sort of irrelevant.. it will and it should be fine. The big thing I want to see is Spartan.. after that I want the RTM.

I must say, I'm amazed by just how compatible Windows 10 9926 is with older hardware, and even some 16 bit software, and I have lots of both!

My main PC, a homemade desktop 10 years old, runs GREAT with Windows 10 TP, 32 bit or 64 bit. It even picked up my Epson printer without me having to find my Epson driver disk and install the drivers.

I also installed the 32 bit ver. on a little HP laptop about five or six years old and that too is running just great!

It seems like MS is getting their act together on writing OS's that will load on just about anything. And with the world economy almost in the toilet, that's a good thing, because a lot of folks, like me, just can't afford to go out and buy a new computer for every new OS.
What would be really the nuts, would be an OS like Windows 10, that would install as an upgrade to Windows XP, without destroying a person's programs and data.
That's how I got from Windows 98 to Windows XP, many years ago.

I'm still waiting for that Next Big Thing, that I heard would be here in February. We've only got about 13 hours to go and February 2015 goes into the history books. So MS needs to get a move on!

Y'all have a great day, and Happy Computing!

What I waiting on is what Microsoft definition is life time of Device.

I would like Microsoft to define lifetime of a device.

I also want to find out before I waste my time if Microsoft windows 10 will be a subscription service or not. Even some lawyers are telling businesses not to upgrade to 10 until Microsoft clarifies licensing terms.

Be wary of upgrading to Windows 10 as a Service, lawyers warn businesses

In that article, it even says
“We’ll deliver new features when they’re ready, not waiting for the next major release. We think of Windows as a Service,” Myerson writes. This certainly sounds like Microsoft is marketing Windows 10 as a subscription-based service - to consumers at least.
Some of that statement above is from a lawyer. It has me concerned.

I edited my statement above to be more precise.

Just because some lawyers says something doesn't make it true and you should get all worried about anything yet. And if you are just stick to Win7. You seem to want to stick to Win7 so stick to it. It's all up to you.

My understanding of lifetime of a device is the point in time when suitable drivers and support from the manufacturer cease to be (i.e. no parts). No one would expect a TRS 80 to run Windows. At some point, the 'ole mule just can't turn the sod!
