Yes, you can run Winver from the run box. "slmgr /xpr" has to be done from an elevated command prompt.

Because I need to find a safe ISO, would it be possible the Pro version? Is it available? Is my machine eligible for this? I cannot believe Toshiba does not have this machine as one able to run W10.
in short, I have to use my machine for work and it has to be in good shape so if I have to make "strong" decisions, I'll make them, but I need to be sure and not act prompt. Again, thanks for you very much appreciated help
Downloading the ISO from Microsoft, right click on it and mount it, then run setup.exe from the drive letter that mounting it creates will do an upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 10. That will solve most problems (other than hard drive space) that a clean install will.

Here's a couple ways to get the ISO from Microsoft:

Upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 10 should leave all your programs and data intact - but it never hurts to back up your data anyway.

When you run setup.exe from inside the ISO to do the "upgrade", it should not ask you for a product key. If it does, you probably have the wrong version of Windows 10 ISO.

do you mean that If do what you say I won't have to reinstall all my programs and also I keep the key I was given by MS, that I imagine is official and per saecula saeculorum?

Not at all. If Toshiba didn't offer you anything, then the BIOS update may do something for your issues.

Find a link for your blurry issue and I'm sure you can do them even the last one:

It SHOULD keep all your programs intact. But it never hurts to make a backup first anyway.

ok, following NavyLCDR yesterday night I updated W10 with W10.There are some things that are better: some fonts are better. But the main issue remains: some programs are seen with a blurry font, title bar is bigger (maybe I need to give up here), MS Outlook opens many times with a screen and after a couple of times (that may vary) opens ok (BTW this is a problem that comes since I have this Toshiba machine with Outlook 2013).Another setback of my yesterday's night: Word got stuck, Outlook got stuck. Maybe that was for the very first time.Anyhow I don't regret yesterday's action. But here I'm back trying to get my screen ok. When I was given as a gift this PC I was told that the best of it is its screen...If someone would like to still help out please let me know my next step. thanks

great! as far as I see (because I have experience of things that appear to improve and it is not the same) the first option works for that.

Try the second option: Downgrade the text size to 100%

This is the history of your BIOS update and there ain't nothing regarding blurry font yet. Keep an eye on it to see if they come out with a new version related to the problems that you have.
