    Meeting Windows 11 minimum specs but PC says i dont

    I have checked all the minimum specs for Windows 11 and I meet all of them however in settings in the 'Windows Insider Programme' tab it says I don't meet them, although I can opt into the beta and dev channels (I'm in the beta), it keeps pushing me back to the release preview channel frequently. What do I do?
    Thanks

    Edit: added a picture of my results from the WhyNotWin11 app, do I need both my drives to be GPT? Or just the boot drive? And does my CPU not being on their list cause the notification?

    Go to uupdump.net, pick the Cumulative Update for Windows 11 (10.0.22000.51) amd64, create an ISO file and update to Windows 11, if you want it.

    The only version of Windows 11 right now is the development version. The full release is not expected until the end of this year or beginning of next.

    The 22000.51 build is the only one that MS have released to Insiders. I have tested upgrading various machine to W11 using it, it seems remarkably stable for a Dev channel build. The ISO does not seem to take much notice of the minimum specs MS have published. It was happy to upgrade from W10 to W11 keeping files and apps on two of my machines, one with a 6th gen i7 and TPM 2.0, another with a 4th gen i7 and TPM 1.2.

    Hi,
    Want to translate this into real English a 5 year old can understand lol

    Forum - Windows 11 » Cannot enable Intel PTT (TPM 2.0) at ASUS motherboard

    Adjusting UEFI hidden settings without flash mod_BIOS

    1.get your BIOS(Download from the official website of the device or back up your
    current BIOS with AFUWIN64)

    2.Using AMI setup IFR extractor in UBU to get configuration file offset

    3.Find the "setup_extr.txt" of your motherboard from the ubu directory,open it.

    4.ctrl+F Search the key words"TPM Device Selection" for Intel motherboard

    5.get the VarStoreInfo (VarOffset/VarName) and Option,
    such as “One Of: TPM Device Selection, VarStoreInfo
    (VarOffset/VarName): 0x6A6, VarStore: 0x1,
    QuestionId: 0x279D, Size: 1, Min: 0x0, Max 0x1,
    Step: 0x0 {05 91 5E 10 5F 10 9D 27 01 00 A6 06 14 10 00 01 00}
    Default: DefaultId: 0x0, Value (8 bit): 0x0 {5B 06 00 00 00 00}
    One Of Option: dTPM, Value (8 bit): 0x0 {09 07 61 10 00 00 00}
    One Of Option: PTT, Value (8 bit): 0x1 {09 07 60 10 00 00 01}”

    6.Make a support setup_var command grub boot disk:a FAT32 Udisk,
    make dir /efi/boot/bootx64.efi

    7.disable secure boot,and boot to the Udisk

    8.use the command "setup_var 0x6A6",output the result "0x0",
    it means dTPM.You can type"setup_var 0x6A6 0x1" to transfer PTT.

    9.Shut down your coumuter,boot to windows10, run tpm.msc,Check TPP start or not.

    10.go to UEFI enable the secure boot.

    Hmmm, I'm not sure I'd recommend a 50 year old to use those instructions, let alone a 5 year old.

    They appear to be instructions on how to hack your UEFI settings to lie about the installed TPM when the Win11 setup asks about it. Personally I'd recommend getting a new motherboard

    Hi,
    Actually it's a process to use to find a string in asus bios and use it in a command to unhide TPP settings in asus bios when the board has a tpm port but no tpm/ tpp setting to enable.
    #2 on that post is unknown what the heck he's referring too.

    Dude mostly says asus hides the bio settings and this uncovers them also post #32
    Way out of my pay scale lol

    Maybe @Cliff S or @jimbo ?

    W11 pro 64 beta channel
       #9

    I have been on the beta channel for about the last year, and on 30th June recieved a message from Microsoft saying that as my pc didn't meet the requirements for W11 that it was being moved to the release preview channel. With help from the W10 and W11 forum members, I have enabled the fTPM and as far as I know, the pc is now able to qualify. Checking the insider program in settings, I found that the beta channel is recommended, so I went back to that.
    Before doing anything, I received another message from Microsoft on 3rd July recommending W11 on the dev channel, which seems odd, what do you think?

    Sounds correct to me. With TPM disabled your computer did not meet the specs for Windows 11. With TPM enabled, now it does.
