    Only half of each desktop icons are showing and they are all white...n


    Insider Build 20246

    Only half of each desktop icons are showing and they are all white...not the correct icons!!

    See pic below.

    I have deleted icon.db and rebooted several times but the same result.

    But does double-click one of those icons open a program? I've seen the same when the shortcut loses track of the executable file of the program or whatever the shortcut points to. Maybe right-clicking one and Properties will display the name of the program and where installed.

    Yes. The correct app opens when I double click an icon.

    Funny thing...

    Just now when I went to check what you asked ALL of the icons are back to their full size!!

    Go figure!!!

    You're welcome. One thing I didn't think to mention, the Desktop is Dynamic, not Static like a picture on the wall. It's constantly being refreshed or redrawn although it may not be noticed. Like problems with RAM/Random Access Memory doing a restart/reboot frequently clears things in temporary storage [only stored while powered on] and gives a fresh start. Sometimes pressing F5 will refresh a view.
