    auto download of insider updates

    Hello again,

Just wondering if I can program the new versions of insiders program , updates, which come out often and take a good while to download, to auto download when computer is off. Or do I have to leave it on hibernate or stand by? I pick up my laptop once every couple of days and always go to security and update. There is always an update, a good 5-10-15 minutes of power and core useage.
If I can setup something up while laptop is off, that would Great.

If anyone has any info I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you,

    Dave

In order for Windows to do anything the computer has to be running. I always turn Hibernate and Sleep off as they tend to mess things up more than necessary. As for power saving it would only be off for about 6 hours out of 24.

    Hi there
running a laptop essentially in "idle mode" --i.e you aren't actually doing anything on it uses so little power I wouldn't even think about the power saving aspects --especially if you have the screen auto turned off after say 10 mins.

    Cheers
