How to get rid of windows insider ?

    Hi All,

After a couple of years insider is getting too iffy , too many bugs, too to many updates. Just not the SurfaceGo experience I am after at the moment. So I want to get rid of it.

I reset my SurfaceGo twice with option REMOVE EVERYTHING and DOWNLOAD WINDOWS FROM CLOUD.

But on the desktop it still states "evaluation copy"

Does that mean I still have insider installed ? If yes, how do I get rid of insider ?

A comment: that was the intent of the Technical Preview when announced several years ago which became the Insider Preview, testing or BETA version that would always be changing and relying upon the users giving feedback to the Windows teams in what works and what doesn't. When I joined the Fast Ring the written warning was not to use it on the only machine or a production machine as there would be problems. It was also written in many reviews that it would be WaaS, Windows as a Service, which concept now is being used for other things as SaaS, Software as a Service. There's several third-party publishers using SaaS for subscription-based programs.

    Thanks for the help DC

    Here's How:
1 Go to the Windows Insider Program website, and sign in (if not already) with your Microsoft Account (MSA) or your Azure Active Directory (AAD) account associated with the Windows Insider Program.

2 Scroll down to the bottom of the Windows Insider Program website, and click/tap on the Leave the Program link. (see screenshots below)
I am signed in to my MS Account, but there is no Leave Link visible.

When you join the Windows Insider program to register your Microsoft Account (MSA) or your Azure Active Directory (AAD) account with the program, you will receive emails from the Windows Insider Program with updates and information about the program. You will also be able to set Windows 10 to start getting Insider Preview builds to get all the new features that are on the way and help Microsoft make Windows 10 even better.
Have you been getting emails to one of your email accounts, and if so, is that the same one?

    Hi DC

Not sure what you mean. Of course all my email accounts are getting emails. But I never received Insider Emails on any account.

Please be aware of my initial question in my opening message.
.............. But on the desktop it still states "evaluation copy"

"Evaluation copy" on your desktop (screenshot could help) would be typical of being an Insider.

    Example
How to remove the Evaluation Copy watermark from Windows 10 for Insiders | Windows Central

But I never received Insider Emails on any account.
Given that you appear to be registered as an Insider, don't receive Insider emails and the email address you use doesn't give a Leave option, that tends to suggest you're signed up with some other email address or other way.

    Thanks DC

So I suppose to have subscribed with an unknown email address ? Ok, no Idea I had that, but let assume that is the case. But after resetting my PC three times and re downloading + re installing windows how the heck does MS know I have another account and why doe they use data from that account instead of the data of the account I used to sign in with ?

This is like malware, need to buy a new PC in order to get rid of insider ?

I guess it's associated with your digital entitlement- your license (and by association) your MS live id.

If you're having special difficulty I suggest, as no one else here has commented, you take it up with your regional MS activation centre by phone.

Thanks DC. Calling MS is very expensive and probably totally annoying because those companies do everything, and more, in order to prevent verbal communication between two humans.

I first would like to make sure I have Insider or normal version installed.

Below some screenshots. Please share you opinion on what version you think I have installed.
