As soon as Driver verifier green screened on the 3rd. Had to remove it in safe mode.

The last BSOD with a dump file was on 5/3.
The last BSOD without a dump file was today 5/6.

The software that we use for windows debugging is designed for widows but not windows insider.
For windows insider you must send feedback via the windows insider feedback hub.

    Ok.
The BSOD on 5/3 were caused by windows driver verifier and the misbehaving driver in all three mini dump files was hwinfo64.

The BSOD on 5/6 was spontaneous.

Another step to perform is to test hardware with HP UEFI hardware diagnostics.

Download and install: HP UEFI hardware diagnostics version 7.6
    https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/.../pc-diags.html

    Launch and run overnight:
Power on the computer > repetitively click F2 > system > extensive > loop until error > the next day if it has made 2 or more loops click esc > run any component or interactive test as needed > take pictures > post images of the tests performed and the results into this thread

While we wait, perhaps you could answer a question that's been bugging me since this thread began. You said "...Trying to upgrade ... from 1909 to RP 2004 but keep getting a green screen...".

Exactly which build of 2004 are you trying to upgrade to? As far as I can tell the Release Preview build of 2004 should have a blue screen, not green. It's certainly a blue BSoD when I test it with Sysinernals' Notmyfault.

A bit of history to the laptop. It came with 1809 I think and I used media creator to create a 1909 USB and upgraded without problem when 1909 was released. I have done two other machines without problem to 2004 all through windows update and I tried the same procedure with the laptop. The green screen occurs after the setup gets to 30% reboots then hangs then green screen. I cant explain why it is a green screen other than it is from windows update. Perhaps I should try to get the media for 2004 and try that way?

Now getting 19041 ISO to try.

I do remember getting the recovery USB created for 1809 when I first got the laptop and I am sure it had beta in the file title from the HP cloud recovery.
