File explorer search in 20H1 - how's it looking?

Hi, I'm wondering how people with 20H1 are finding file explorer search.

There have been protracted issues with this after changes to this in 1909, and from what I've read, further changes in 20H1 to avoid some issues of high CPU usage and further integration with Windows search, search of OneDrive and probably more.

Does indexed file explorer search now function better than in 1909- e.g.

    - no problems typing or clicking in the search box
    - no problems pasting into it
    - does the Search tab appear when you click in the search box
    - is search syntax highlighted in blue as it was to 1903
(e.g.type:mp3 datemodified:1/5/19 .. 2/6/19 should all be in pale blue indicating correct syntax)

    Any particular features or issues?

    Thanks!

Everything seems to work properly/as expected, except for the huge white hover-tip...

I still get random locations added to the index without my knowledge!

Thanks- including the search tab appearing when clicking in the search box, and syntax being highlighted?

    Yes...

No..., but, I'm guessing it may have something to do with certain tweaks and/or my WB theme.

If I search for something from This PC, it's very slow...,

if I search within the indexed location itself, it's very fast; if I perform the same search from the Start Menu, it's also very fast.

As it always has been... if, for example, you now start searching from a non-indexed location, but some folders further down in the hierarchy from that point are indexed, does it still start with the slow green progress bar?.. (i.e. results from indexed locations are not prioritised... which would be a good way to do things)

Yup! However, I have only 1 indexed location on an external hard drive, so, watching the progress bar is like watching paint dry!
