    10x - mission impossible

I had Windows 10 in VMware 15 on a Ryzen 3700X 32GB 1TB ssd. The VM had 100GB HDD, 8 cores and 8GB ram. I imagined getting 10x from the fast ring would be a doddle...

I switched the VM to insider fast, restarted and did updates. On restart there was 2 options - troubleshoot or shut down. So that was a fail.

I did it all again > fail.

I got the latest insider iso (following a post on this forum). Inplace upgrade > fail.

I did a clean VM install using the downloaded iso. Turned out this latest iso was infact not 10x but the previous insider version, so I switched to fast ring and updated > 2 options troubleshoot or shut down.

    10x - mission impossible.

I think Win 10x is meant to run on Mobile phones or tablets which means it's based on Android.

You can run it in an emulator using Windows 7 or 10

Running on a mobile phone doesn't necessarily mean its based on Android. It's just written for a different CPU architecture. Like Windows 10 on Arm.

Windows 10X is not based on Android, it is based on Windows Core Operating System, which itself is based on OneCore, and uses some of the same core files as current Client and Server versions of Windows, such as the kernel and HAL.
