File explorer search box bug windows 10 build 18912.1001

After updating to the newest windows 10 insider build, the file explorer search box is entirely missing. I've already tried sfc /scannow and dism repair with no luck. This functionality is actually working however on another administrator account on the same laptop. I'd like to copy the app data folder for file explorer from the correct account but I'm not sure which file I'd have to copy to fix this bug on the primary account. Has anyone else noticed this bug or does anyone know how I might be able to fix it?

Already reported this bug on feedback hub, just seeing if I can't figure this out before Microsoft.

You could try a reset...It takes about an hour or so.

They definitely addressed the occurrence of this bug on the flight hub site but are still investigating it apparently. The bug still occurs on my laptop in the newest fast ring build (18917).

"We’re investigating an issue where some users are reporting that File Explorer search is rendering in an unexpectedly small area and clicking it results in a crash."

I have the same problem, it started after updating 18908 to 18912 and it is still there with 18917,
When I added another login ID it had the same issue, then I changed it to administrator and the search box showed up, but the original administrator login ID still has the bug. Clicking on the small square that is in the place of the search box seems to crash and close up the explorer.
I will try an Upgrade from a good 18362.175 to 18917.1000 directly and see what happens.
I have no idea on how to fix this on the failing ID.
Tried sfc /scannow and does not find any corruption.

    Hi Steven Campoli,
I just did an upgrade from release 1903 build 18362.175 directly to 20H1 build 18917.1000 and the search box looks fine, I also see the search tools as you can see in this picture.
