    bootup takes a long time

Hi I have version 1903 os build 18362.53
I`m having a problem with boot up, it starts with win logo and the data circle, then the screen goes blank for about
2 or 3 minutes then the win logo restarts and it goes very fast. Can you help thanks.

I don`t know if this will help someone help me, but it looks like windows is looking for a multiple operating system.

Use the insider feedback to report the problem.

    For troubleshooting you can:
    a) use clean boot
    b) check the bios boot time
    c) use windows performance recorder (WPR)

For WPR it may take time to find someone that can interpret the images.

    boot takes a long time

Hi ZBook I could not fix my boot. it looks like windows is looking for a multiple operating systems. I have a desk top
computer that has Windows 7, 8, and 10 on it, It has 3 hard drives in it and it start like that but on the second
data circle it then gives a choice of which system to log into instead of the log in screen. This laptop only has
one hard drive and one OS on it.
I tried the fast start up, and the clean boot but it did not help. I hope you can help me, thank you.

At this time can you boot with a long delay or you can no longer boot at all?

    1) Having upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 places licensing on the Microsoft server.

    2) If you have a backup image or files backed up you can clean install.

    3) What are the status of the computer files?
    a) backup image?
    b) backup users folders?
    c) no backup of files?

    4) If files are not backed up:
    a) Create a Kyhi boot rescue flash drive > make a Macrium backup image and backup users folders to another drive or to the cloud

    b) Create a bootable Ubuntu flash drive

There are troubleshooting steps for boot failure.
It may take a while if it is more than the boot sector.
If it fails another option is reset save files (reinstall drivers and applications) or reset save files equivalent

You might try unplugging any usb drives, pull any flash drives and sd cards, or at the very least check your boot order.
I actually had an sd card that had unbuntu on it even though it was damaged the system checked for an operating system, slowing down the boot a lot.

I had a similar issue on my fathers HP laptop. Clean install of Windows 10, no dual boot, 3 minutes plus to boot up? I never did figure out what the issue was? That was a few years ago now, round about when the free upgarde first appeared. Tried it again a year or so latter and same deal, windows logo, long delay, and boot up. It would have driven him bonkers so I put Windows 8 back on it.
