mine says expires 12-14-18 too, I just want to get out of the dag on program!!!! but I see no option. I'm on the slow build.
how or when can I get the option to get out and be on normal regular builds?
I'm not getting any update, will they offer me one before the 14th?

    my current build says 18272.1000
You can only revert to 17363 by clean installing as your build is a later version. MS have not yet released a 18xxx series build to the Slow Ring. You have to move to Fast Ring to get upgraded and aviod expiry, or clean install release version.

My 2 IP computers have updated to Version 1809 Build 18290.1000 with an Expiration date of 7/5/2019.

EDIT: forgot to mention I'm on the Fast Ring.

Yeah I see the option to switch to fast, but I don't want to stay in insider program. I don't seem to be able to get out of it

There is a way, do a clean install of an RTM version of Win10. Or if it's an OEM/Brand name computer use its Factory Restore to go back to its as-shipped condition then Upgrade to Win10 using the MCT/Media Creation Tool.

Is there any ambiguity with the following?

"You have to move to Fast Ring to get upgraded and avoid expiry, or clean install release version."

Clean install is the only way? Microsoft says I can opt out. I just don't see the opt out part

I understand how to stop the expiration, by switching to fast thank you. But if there's no ambiguity as you claim, then that means the only way to get out of insiders build is to do a clean install, that's just plain FALSE. There is an opt out option, I just haven't seemed to be able to get out

It is not false at all.

It is your understanding that is incorrect!

You can only opt out of the Insider build retaining all programs and data WHEN the Insider build coincides with the release build HENCE why your options are only to join Fast Ring or clean install the release version.

The next time you can leave the Insider Prgram retaining everything will be around April 2019 when 19H1 is released.

So all you wrote above, is the same as

"You have to move to Fast Ring to get upgraded and avoid expiry, or clean install release version"

oh really now? sounds like ambiguity to me!
