Unjoin or Leave insider program - seems impossible

    Hi folks

there's no option - at least none that I can see that work on how to leave the insider program on a specific PC.

Nowhere is there an option to leave current program.

(Restore from old Macrium image will work but doesn't seem to be any way from standard Windows -- I'm using build 17746.)

Reminds me of those old "Roach Motel" adverts in the USA -- They check in but never leave !!.

    Cheers

Since the beginning of the Insider program, it has only been possible to leave it when the next general availability build / version has been released.

    OK thanks

I don't really want to leave the program --just doing some testing

Of course restoring an image of the system before you got insider builds works fine though.

    Thanks Kari.

jimbo you can always stay as an Insider and if you don't want builds on the Fast Ring just switch to the Just send me early updates option. If a few months down the line you want to go back to the Fast Ring then change to the FR setting, reboot and you'll be good to go. I've done this for a few years now and it's been fine.
