Screen saver settings cleared after updating to new build (from 17735)

Don't know about others, but I have screen saver set to blank after few minutes and checked "on resume display logon screen".

Without that setting, PC resumes from sleep directly to desktop. Since build 17735, Update process is clearing screen saver setting and set them to "none".

Skip ahead builds are preserving my choice, so this is specific to these builds.

Does this apply to others as well? Or is this my case only?

Just checked both of my 17746 test machines. The lock screen and screen saver settings are being carried over from previous releases unchanged. All I can guess is that some kind of GPO or registry setting may be tinkering with your previous defaults.

    Hi folks
Build 17746 two defects I reported earlier seem to have been fixed after a cold re-start this morning - i.e computer powered on from being switched off last night and re-booting.

    1) Hot USB 3 plug external devices not working -- now fine.
    2) Storage spaces gave error when trying to create storage pool --now fine.

Maybe powering off and powering on again reset / initialised something in the hardware that needed a power off / on.

Sometimes for strange hardware seeming defects try a complete power off / power on / reboot . Doesn't cost anything to try. !!

    Cheers

Thanks for posting Ed. now I'm even more confused... Nothing extra set. This is even the same system that my skip ahead was made of, and skippy is carrying over my settings just fine

My screen saver settings now revert to 'NONE' despite having Mystify set - Since the last 3 preview releases.

Thanks @N9NU. It's nice to know I'm (was) not alone

Now, in last build (17751.1) my screen saver setting was preserved.
