Depends on your perspective. If you like to be right at the cutting edge of development, fine. However that cone with a price, more frequent updates and (not all the time) greater instability.
Many here run Fast Ring/Skip Ahead builds in virtual machines.
One thing is for sure, you should never use it as your main OS unless you really understand the risks.
Some of our more experienced but perhaps very bold users do but they make regular image backups in case crap happens.
Hi folks
Build 17730 180731-1427 on the whole seems good running on HP envy laptop. -- tried to break it a few times and it's still robust enough - couple of minor ignorable issues.
It won't install though on an AMD HPE proliant Gen 10 microserver -- previous build wouldn't update either but it does with clean install from an iso -- so there's something on the microserver this build doesn't like when doing an update.
I tested it by 100% clean install with standard windows, applied updates, no extra applications running -- still same failure to update to insider release -- installs OK but on boot gets "...OPS something went wrong" and then rolls back so I'm not bothering on this computer. Standard windows updates work normally though.
Why HP changed from Intel MOBOS to AMD on these micro servers is beyond me --always have trouble with Non Intel Mobos --never again AMD Mobos !! !!!
Anyway ALWAYS have backups for these very issues so you can get a fully running machine again asap.
Cheers
