I'm uncertain whether doing what has been suggested will leave my software and settings unchanged. A clean install obviously would not. So I have imaged 17127.1 as it is and am now waiting for the setup process to complete.

I see, so you are in the process right now of an in-place update. 99% of your apps and settings will not be altered in any way. Possible exceptions are any incompatible apps and personal settings such as font size, resolution, etc. Really minor stuff. I would check for things like System Protection (restore points) active or not. And Fast Startup/Hibernation file enabled or not. It will generally be as you had it, with those exceptions. And you can always go and cherry pick data and such from your image without restoring it.

That hasn't worked but it's my fault as Insider Previews fast ring was set, so no sooner did the in place upgrade complete than it immediately installed Insider updates leaving the system on 17134.112, an Insider build. Here are pics of the choices I now have, none of which achieve the desired aim -

17134.112 is not Insider. It is 1803 public at about the June cumulative update stage. Current is 17134.191. You can try that rollback. I can't tell where it will put you.

Is 17134.191 the full public version, or is that just Insider? My current build is 17134.167

I have the latest update now. . When MS puts out 1809, it better not install any default apps that I already uninstalled. . I have my computer set to my perfection! I don't need BS Bloatware MS apps on my PC that i'll never use. . LOL
