How to get SwitfKey operating on build 17692?

I had to simulate this on my desktop because I don't have it installed on my Surface Pro 3. But, should be the same. First, make sure these settings are on:



Then, you must be in Tablet Mode.



Then tap the keyboard icon in taskbar.



Then, when you start typing (I had to do with mouse clicks, slightly awkward ), as you tap a letter, suggestions appear at the top of the keyboard area. You can tap on them.

That's working form me (the predicted words being displayed), but what has me curious is that I have seen the gif below on a number of webpages showing swyping capacity on the new windows insider build keyboard.

Hard for me to test that on my desktop, but I do get the blue "trailer" following the "swipe", kinda like a mouse trail, but solid blue and fluid. Fits go-around on Insider for it, so probably some glitchy bugs still.

Did it just natively work for you, the swiping? Even if only with the mouse.

yes, but intermittently. I don't think it's intended for a mouse, may need the tactile sensory of the finger and the capacitance.
