    Search problem


    Hi guys,

    I cant click on anything in my search results.

    If I search for a program like calculator , it will list it but I cant run it. Sometimes it just has a spinning blue circle

    Any ideas?

    Hi, which Windows build are you using?
    Windows key + R, winver

    When did this start? Do you recall any event before this started to happen?
    If you remember the day or time, does this relate to any update or upgrade? (See your Upgrade History).

    Do you have a System Restore point you can use created before this started to happen?
    Do you use disk imaging as we constantly urge users to do routinely e.g. Macrium Reflect (free) + external storage for image sets, and if so, do you have a relevant disk image you can use to restore your PC to a previous working state?

    ....without those recommended precautions...

    Please create a new user for test purposes. Does search for a program from your taskbar work when logged in as the new user?
    (This distinguishes between basic Windows corruption and user specific problems).
