Insider Preview 17677.1000 thinks my SSD is a Thumbdrive

No matter what all I get is the error message that it can't install to a thumbdrive I have a brand new WD 240 GiG SSD that's been working great.

You could try the dism method of clean installing.

Have you formatted your thumbdrive FAT32 prior to try and install ISO on it?

OP is trying to install to an SSD but it is complaining that the SSD is a removeable drive not a fixed drive if I interpret the original post correctly.

Try dism solution as in my post #2.

It is much easier than it looks - just folliw the tutorial instructions exactly.
