You could try the dism method of clean installing.

Apply Windows Image using DISM Instead of Clean Install | Windows 10 Tutorials

Have you formatted your thumbdrive FAT32 prior to try and install ISO on it?

OP is trying to install to an SSD but it is complaining that the SSD is a removeable drive not a fixed drive if I interpret the original post correctly.

Try dism solution as in my post #2.

It is much easier than it looks - just folliw the tutorial instructions exactly.
