Won't Update

Tried to install update for build 17661. No luck like everyone else sat on 80%. After 6 1/2 hours it did a down load and install. After restart it gets to about 50% and says has found a problem 0xc1900101 and restores previous version. It has done this 4 times. I have been on the Insider Program since the start and have never once had any problem downloading and installing updates. Any idea what to do?


After leaving it all night it came back and said could not update some items with error code 0x800706ba. I did a wsreset.exe.to reset MS Store and now its in constant loop of downloading and installing like it did or 6 hours yesterday.


After 20 hours I figured it out. I quit Windows Insider and went back to latest release. Will just not worry about it until MS gets their stuff together.

I skipped all that by doing a clean install of Build 17661.1001 with an ISO created by a TF member.

I wound up having to do a second clean install after installing Avast Free AV. Don't do that to yourself . . . it's poison to this Build.
