does this method still work to get Windows Lean option plus all the other W10 versions from the latest .iso image
expand the ISO and insert into the SOURCES file a file called ei.cfg (not ei.cfg.txt) before creating rufus bootable usb.

I have only downloaded the Lean .esd image using UUP-Dump and made a stand alone ISO from that.
Online version of UUP-Dump
Once selected the correct image, use the "download and convert using aria2"-option and then extract the zip to a folder on your root of C drive and run the script with elevated CMD.
How are you guys activating Lean, or are you?
Lean is not listed as an install option in either of My Visual Studio Subscription 1803 ISO's, business and consumer.
It is still work in progress, and the activation does not seem to work. I tried installing it in a vm that had a Home digital licence and a PRO licence and it failed.
I actually gave up on it as it is very rough at edges at the moment. If you go to use powershell, menu option are there, but it just gives obscure module not found type errors rather than "This option is not available" message.
Although (contradicting a post I made earlier) control panel is not available, there is still too much stuff not migrated yet to settings, and not being able to use CP severely limits the usefullness of Lean. It also crashed several times for me whilst running.
It looks to me that the version we are seeing is just a proof of concept alpha build, nothing more.
Much work is needed to get it to a viable option, including updating 'add windows features" menus to assist in reinstalling features removed by default.
Windows Lean does not seem to be official (yet?)

Ok, thanks for the info guys. I think I'll wait for some of the rough edges to get smoothed out.
Of course there is a possibility that it will not be released on the general channel, but restricted to the Major OEM's for use pre-installed
