Problem with disabling Core Isolation Memory Integrity

    Hello,

I recently enabled the Windows Defender Core Isolation Memory Integrity on my Windows 10 Insider Preview version 17120 installation, on my laptop. Strangly I'm not able to disable it again ("This setting is managed by your organization").

Want to disable it because it's not working together with Oracle Virtual Box (obvious). I tried different stuff already, none of them seem to work.

This might be just a bug in this flight but does anyone else experience this error and knows a work-around for this? And no, this is not the same as with Windows Update, already checked if the data collecting option is set to Full.

I am having the exact opposite problem. I actually created a thread in the "AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security". I am receiving a message that says "This Setting is managed by your administrator", and it will not let me activate Core Isolation. It appears that no one knows the answer to this, as my thread has also gone unanswered.

It's a known bug that affects everyone. Use the link @essenbe posted. It's the only way I was able to turn it off. I had to turn it off several times while trying to troubleshoot. I finally gave up and just left it disabled. Too many incompatibilities.

I fixed it by setting the Enabled value to 0 here HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard\Scenarios\HypervisorEnforcedCodeInte grity

Just reboot after changing that and it should be disabled.

Oh, yeah I see. I searched for like hours for that value weeks ago. I think that got added recently as I checked at that time but only the GUI option was available.
