    On Build 17046 _ Updates 17063, 17074, 17083, 17093 Failed GSOD

    (3) Desktop PC(s), same room, same hardwired network. (2) have updated smoothly and now on 17093.

Problem PC (Intel i5, ASUS MB, EVO850 SSD, nVIDIA graphics) runs 17046 daily with no issues.
All Insider Updates since; initialize, download, install fine. Restart 'always' gets to 54%, jumps to 75% and quickly fails. Stop Code: REFERENCE BY POINTER. Have repeatedly run Update Utility and Clean Disk, with no effect.

Hardware/software config is very similar to other (2) desktop PCs, which are not having this issue. All (3) run very similar nVIDIA graphics (560i, 660, 760), and same drivers. Very frustrated and need some suggestions to help move forward.

    THX !!

I once had trouble because of my BIOS settings (Virtualization was enabled). I ended up having to disable it and it went through fine. Although I highly doubt it is the case here because they claim to have fixed it. You could always try though.

    THX. Disable did not affect.

Really uninformed at this level, but created ISO without issue for 17093. Not aware at all of what effect running ISO will have. Seems like it will be same as clean install ??? I do not want to reload many 3rd Pty DAW programs right now. Will running this ISO cause me to lose these?? Not knowing difference from ISO to clean install ....

Apologies ... but welcome any help as it seems this PC is not going to Update, given so many new versions with exact same failure.

No change after many tries. Made one suggested Register change and 17093 Install now hangs at 97%.
Any creative thoughts? I can run ISO, but will be VERY problematical if current, purchased Programs no longer run without reinstall ....

PLZ excuse obvious inabilities to deal in-depth with this issue ! Exact same 'Restart at 54% / GSOD' now after newer 17101 and 17107 Updates. Stop Code: Reference by Pointer
17046 continues to run with no noted issues.

Other (2) very similar Desktop PC(s) have updated all the way to 17107 without problem.

What is most painless path to attempt to find/correct issues causing this failure to Update?
C:\ is EVO850 500GB SSD, and I do have another new, clean EVO850 500GB installed if this can help.
