    Hi, at a guess, you may need to make sure these locations are indexed:
    Attachment 205009

    This may help:
    Pasting this into the address bar opens a file explorer window so you can view the contents of CSC

    shell:::{AFDB1F70-2A4C-11d2-9039-00C04F8EEB3E}
    Attachment 205010

    Having used that I found the location added to Indexed Locations. Don't know quite why...
    Hey I appreciate the quick response. I think you missed the part where if I use the default start menu for windows 10, it indexes and finds my documents/desktop no problem. So it's not an indexing issue at all. It's 100% something in the program not using the CSC location. Hope this can be patched easily otherwise i'll be instructing everyone in my company to use cortana for searching.

    Out of curiosity, if you search using file explorer, does that succeed?

    And I assume you have Classic/Open Shell configured for file search (it's optional).

    Ironically that is a very interesting work around. I'll play with it and see how I like it. Obviously it would be an added bonus if open shell could use it natively but I'll give it a shot
    Thank you

    While this workout is neat. It actually would be less user friendly for users than just instructing them to click on the cortana icon to search for their redirected files for the time being. I feel like it should be as simple as being able to index the C:\windows\CSC folder, but obviously there may be something i'm missing in the programming.
    Thank you

    Aztexx

    Then you will need to go to the takeover site

    Issues · Open-Shell/Open-Shell-Menu · GitHub

    and ask for them to program in an added option for when using Win 10,
    to use what you are asking, to automatically fill up the Open-Shell-Menu search view (without icon pictures).

    It works well in the current insider build and will be needed when RS5 goes live next month.
