Just thinking out loud . . . once IVO has had a little rest, he may want to get involved in the new Open Classic Shell (or whatever they decide to name it).
Not sure if he could since he made it Open Source and someone else is running with it. I am starting to "consider" using Windows 10 as is..??

I don't know why not. He just wouldn't be in control, which is what he seems to want. I think open source means anyone could work on it.

Since IVO would not let the new people use "classic Shell" as it's name, they may not want him. If he only just wanted to not be in control, he could have easily found someone to take The main coding job over. I doubt that he coded it all by himself. Most of the Skins were made by members of his forum. There is a site that specifies want can be done with Open Sourced Programs.

I don't understand why IVO quit on it as it was fixable..
He said personal reasons he just couldn't continue with the project

Well, that one's easy . . . If things go awry, he doesn't want people to think he did it. Also, one thing I got out of your link is that the person who built the software in the first place, and who released the source code, has a right to make stipulations . . .

I didn't intend to start a debate, but it is interesting, and I will be researching further in order to increase my knowledge about this and other open source apps.

The Link I posted was not the one I was looking for. I will have to do more research. I did post earlier that I may just go back to the Windows 10 Start. After all do not stare at my start menu all day long. The Windows start menu is faster anyway.

Your link was the same one I posted at 7am. It is IVO's post of why he stepped down. What else is there?
