Ivo has stopped development and will keep his fingers in it for a few more months. That does not mean it will suddenly stop working. On the chance that MS fiddles-up the APIs and under-the-hood stuff so bad, maybe it will run in 8 compatibility mode. Might lose some 10-related code Ivo has in it, but 95%+ will still be there. All is not lost......
(I have Standalonestack2 running for my wife's lappy on FCU! Believe it or not! :))
MS doesn't care about any of their users, including business (except Intel).
If they did they wouldn't push garbage upgrades every few months and then drop support for W10 (earlier releases) after a couple of upgrades.
They want to force everyone to make regular payments for Azure subscriptions.
Hi,
I'd sort of expect or assume any large business would be using enterprise licenses and MS would accommodate them as they already do by giving them all of the privacy...... settings they can disable.
Forgive me but just glanced through this thread. Is enabling Desktop via taskbar, Toolbars, just the same as classic shell?
Microsoft cares about two major things in my opinion.
1. Making money
2. Keeping as many customers they can happy.
No happy customers=no money.
Many times I don't understand or agree with what Microsoft does but I do believe they want happy customers, just like any other company does.
