It works for me on 16053 and I am not going any further as 16299 does not work too well on my PC but Classic Shell works on it.

Maybe we should all send IVO $20 he might change his mind? It is sure worth $20 to me and I sent him mine years ago.

I echo all the sad feelings and hope for some kind of future for Classic Shell. I can't imagine Windows10 without it.

That move won't change a thing. Ivo has already stated it's not about money.

Start 10 still works and is occasionally updated. Yeah it costs five bucks.

I've used it on most insider builds with no problems. I think the only ones that broke it was in the run up to the AU where they were messing around with the start menu.

What is "Start 10" ? I've been using "startisback". It only costs a couple of bucks and they seem to be able to keep it going. Granted is is not "Classic Shell", of which I looked at but I found "startisback" when I got my first Win 8 machine. I had to do something because I could never become comfortable with the Start menu. I do use it for apps that I rarely use to keep the clutter down on the desktop, but beyond that I'm like many other contributors here, the only Windows App I use also is "MY RADAR", that I've used for years under Android devices.

But if M.S. ends up hiding internals like IBM did back in the 70's, they will be sitting in a court room somewhere and like IBM paid their fines and published everything about MVS.

I installed Start8 when Windows 8 was released as I detested the new Start Menu. I moved to Start 10 when Windows 10 came out, though I don't mind the Windows 10 Start menu and can get around in it pretty well now. It's well worth $5.
