The links are all combined into one. If you separate them they work.

Can someone please explain the attraction of Classic Shell, I just don't understand it. If I want the Windows 7 look I'll go back to Windows 7. If I'm using Windows 10 I want it to look like Windows 10

Good for you, personally I prefer the advancements and security of Windows 10 with the desktop of Windows 7 that has basically been the same for last 15 years or so. I don't use my computers with touch screens or as I would use a Smartphone. I use a computer for computing with full software programs.

Classic Shell allows me to set up my desktop, windows explorer, and IE pretty much just as I have been for many years, the way I want to use windows. I like to have that control over my computers. Hope this helps you to understand why we like Classic Shell

I ldunno, Doogie. I tried all of 'em in Windows 8/8.1 and as bad as that Start Menu was, I went back to it; nothing seemed to work for me. I like the Windows 10 Start Menu; get rid of the tiles and it's just fine.

Because, most users are accustomed to configuring Windows the way they want!

Likewise with the Start Menu, if they can configure it to their liking with 3rd party software, they're damn well gonna do it!

With Windows 10, natively that's getting more and more difficult!

I prefer Classic Shell (or Open-Shell now) because I get a start menu that's far more customizable than the clunky one in Windows 10 (or even Windows 7 for that matter) and gives me easier and quicker access to all the programs I want to run. Utility is more important than looks in Windows for me.

You can organise your programs under nested folders in CS which you can't do in the Start Menu & CS is very configurable. You can use both by configuring CS to open when you hover the mouse over the start button and the Start menu to open when you click on the Start Menu. Windows 10 offers better security than Windows 7 - note Windows 7 support ends soon in Jan 20.

That part rings true for me, also. I haven't lost anything. If I want Win 10 Start, I click the button or hit the Win Key. If I want a nice nested, organized apps and utilities, I hover over the button. Best of both worlds. Whatever floats your boat! Personal choice is the name of the game.

It is a matter of Choice. In My opinion The Windows 8 through 10 is not the best looking start screen out there. There are users still on XP. There is one here that is trying to make Windows 10 look like XP. There are third party themes that can be used. I was heavily involved in Themeing Windows 7. I want something that I use daily to look the way I want it to and not the way MS wants it to look. For me. Classic Shell was all I needed, if it did go away, I would use Themes , some are posted on this site.

I think the biggest thing is, you can't change the font style in the UWP UI, (although, now you can change the font size!),
    you can't create nested folders,
and, you can't rearrange desired app icons in the order you wish, (unless you rename them in a crazy way!)...
