errr... breaks in what way?
Hmm, kind of begs the question as to why, with what is supposed to be a consumer product, MS changes things so consumers suffer by introducing compatibility problems. Ok, maybe a start menu is different - but witness the problems with Epson Perfection scanners... (provided of course their software conforms to whatever API spec applies).
Anyway, that's more philosophy and not worth exploring.
Hope either this is a temporary glitch (Insider) or we find a reasonably tolerable alternative.
I tried compatibility 8 & 7. Nada. Tried their Classic Shell Utility to deep clean the uninstall and re-installed, with no luck. Fires up once, and promptly dies.
Superfly mentioned a couple days ago, and I tend to agree, kernel code or changed/missing APIs cause it to fail. Not even an error message anywhere.
